I’m Back, Jack!

Hey guys, I’m back! Did you miss me?

Probably not, but that’s OK. Anyway, I’m off the LTIR and ready to go. Coach says I won’t get a lot of minutes, but I’m still going to do what I can. (unlike Mike Brown, I will not use my few minutes of ice time to take terrible penalties and be a general liability on ice.) Seriously though, I’ll be giving this another go until the end of the season, whenever that ends up being, and deciding the ultimate fate of the blog then. If things are going well and I can keep up with posting, great! If not, well, we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. I really do miss blogging about the Sharks, though I miss cartooning about them more; I’m just not sure I have the time to dedicate to it anymore. But when has good sense ever stopped me?

On to the Sharks. It figures the one game I was able to watch this week they lose. Against Carolina too, UGH. Really? Come on. Actually, wait, why does this surprise me? The Sharks always do poorly against lower end teams. Although, Carolina currently sits higher than the Habs so, lower end is rather relative. (It probably isn’t too fair to call them low end, but whatever. They aren’t a top tier team, either)

There was a fleeting moment when you thought, “they can do this! They can tie it.” Then NOPE. Canes score, 4-2, game over. Return to energizer.

DeBoer’s face on the challenged no goal was amazing. I’m pretty sure he wanted to flip tables, and potentially even the ice surface. I was pretty sure he was going to burn a hole in the ice with his laser eyes.

Darth Vader was in attendance. Who knew he was a Canes fan? (And also not dead? Don’t tell Kylo Ren. He’ll poop himself if he finds out.)

Next puck drops at 5pm, Feb 22nd.

Trade deadline’s a’looming…
