Cat Tracks (2/28/16): Florida Panthers (1) @ Minnesota Wild (3)

0 for 2. That’s how the Panthers went this weekend.
No use dwelling on it, let’s get down to what happened.

GREEN: Props to Kyle Rau, who looked real strong playing his first game in his home state of Minnesota. He did not find a way on to the score sheet, but he was all over the place and gave Devan Dubnyk more than a few things to think about. Maybe things turn out better another night, but I sure had fun watching him.

YELLOW: Kudos to Roberto Luongo, who had to be pressed into service after playing yesterday afternoon. He did very well too, including a crazy sequence of saves.

RED: Of course the reason Luongo was pressed into service, is because Al Montoya was run into by Marco Scandella. It appears Aaron Ekblad at least helped Scandella run into Montoya, but there also wasn’t a great effort to avoid collision either. Montoya left the game and did not return, though Gallant says he is fine. I hope so too, scrambled brains aren’t a laughing matter.
