Cat Tracks (3/12/16): Philadelphia Flyers (4) @ Florida Panthers (5) (SO)

Panthers keep their roll going, they fend off a hard challenge from the Philadelphia Flyers, and pull off a victory in the shootout. Between the Panthers win, and Shayne Gostisbehere, it was a good night for #FloridaHockey.

The game started off fairly slow. The first two periods ended in deadlock, a fitting result. The magic happened in the third period though. The Flyers struck early, putting a pang of panic into the crowd. Then the Panthers answered with two goals in 1:05. Everything was rolling well, until Broward County native Shayne Gostisbehere tied the game with just under two minutes to go. The most stressful moment was the penalty kill in overtime. Look what it did to me!

GREEN: Jussi Jokinen tied a career high 10 game point streak with his A1 on Reilly Smith’s second goal. He was not a star of the game, but I will give him a star.

YELLOW: This goal by Huberdeau was the epitome of awesome. From the way Jagr protected the puck, to the way Huberdeau roofed it. Smart play, well executed.

RED: 👻🐻
