If Nathan Horton misses Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Stars, he’ll have one interesting fact pinned to his name. The game between the Blue Jackets and Stars is the one which originally started back on March 10th before Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench. The league made the correct call and postponed the conclusion of that game until April 8th.

Though the two teams will play a normal 60-minute game, the Blue Jackets will start with a 1-0 lead because Horton had scored a goal prior to the Peverley incident. That’s right – if Horton misses the game, which he is expected to do, he’ll score a goal in a game he doesn’t play in.

Taking the crazy story one step further, we can only hope that the two teams fail to light the lamp on Wednesday so that Horton has the lone goal and is named the First Star of the Game for his winning tally.
