Patrick Sharp’s time in Chicago may be coming to an end. Fans have heard this rumor for quite some time, but a new report suggests the Blackhawks will deal Sharp next week.
Heard from a good source who says Sharp will be traded next week. It's been expected, but that's still a big name to lose. #Blackhawks

No indication as to where Sharp might land, but it sounds like the return would involve draft picks as the major component.
Have to wait for that, but would assume draft pick package. Not sure what team either. https://t.co/v9ZxQkKr20

The rumored timing would make a lot of sense. Several teams have been rumored and linked to big deal prior to the 2015 NHL Draft on June 26th and 27th. Considering the immense skill available in this year’s draft, particularly in the first round, it’s no surprise that teams are looking to make moves sooner than later.
The story of the Blackhawks winning the Cup and then having to sell off an important piece (or pieces) in order to fit under the cap is a familiar one. However, Sharp may be the most dynamic piece the Blackhawks will have to move (assuming the rumors are true) following a Cup run. That’s saying a lot considering the weapons (Dustin Byfuglien, for instance) the Blackhawks have moved.
