AFC Scout : “I Believe Dorial Green-Beckham is a top 5 prospect”

Oklahoma’s Dorial Green-Beckham is a consensus top 50 talent even with his major off the field concerns for the 2015 NFL Draft but one AFC scout told us at Real Sports Entertainment that “DGB” is a once in a decade type talent and a top five overall player.

According to the scout Green-Beckham is a great kid that has had a rough patch of bad luck and some “young and dumb” mistakes but has matured 1,000 % as a man and football player.

“There are about five or six players with can’t miss talent at the next level from this class and Dorial is one of them. If we are talking pure talent, hard work and dedication to excellence Dorial is up there with the best of them and he has the skills to go along with them. All we ask of Dorial is to not make the same mistakes as he once did in the past, it’s as simple as that” said the AFC scout.

Dorial Green-Beckham has had a great first few days at the combine, he looked sharp in the press conference and the measurable’s were elite. Green-Beckham weighed in at 237, listed height was 6’5 to go along with his 32 1/2 inch arms and 9 1/4 inch’ hands. The former No.1 overall high school prospect will run the 40 yard dash and compete in the vertical jump tomorrow which will be huge. He is projected to have a 38-42 inch vertical and run between 4.34-4.41.

“All the decisions I made, I wish I could take it back,” Green-Beckham said. “It’s happened. I was young. I made mistakes. I understand that and I just want to focus on one thing and look forward to this draft and focus on being the best I can be.”

Many experts have drawn comparisons to Alshon Jeffrey of even higher praise in Calvin Johnson but despite the top 5 overall praise most don’t have him coming off the board the board until the middle of round one. If Green-Beckham can continue to interview well with teams and post similar numbers to the ones above then he will cement himself as the “3rd” wide receiver behind West Virginia’s Kevin White and Alabama’s Amari Cooper.

WR Dorial Green Beckham will participate at Oklahoma’s pro day March 11th.
