The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the verge of signing veteran small forward Richard Jefferson, per multiple reports.
The deal is for one-year, veterans minimum.
Jefferson, 35, last played on the Dallas Mavericks last year.
Jefferson was going to stay with the Mavs, but after the DeAndre Jordan collapse, Mavs gave their free agents to go out and look again, thus Jefferson signing with the Cavs.
Last season with the Mavs, Jefferson averaged 5.8 points, 0.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game off the bench.
For his career, he is averaging 13.9 points, 2.2 assists and 4.3 rebounds.
