RSEN’s Final Team Recruiting Rankings

As we wrap up a wild full season of signing day I will take you through the winners of losers of the day. Biggest winners were the USC Trojans, Sarkisian, Tee Martin, Marques Tuiasosopo and co just possibly pulled off the greatest recruiting class in Trojan history and maybe even top ten all time. USC wons in state battles had flips and pulled players all across the country, including Porter Gustin, Iman Marshall, Rasheem Green and John Houston.

Tennessee could possibly be back after another top 10 class in a row. Butch Jones kept in state OT Drew Richmond and signed long time commit Khalil McKenzie.

Ohio St signed 11 lineman led by Isaiah Prince and that’s why they look like an SEC/BigTen team. Winning the battles up front along with the skill position speed is deadly. 2016′ class is already looking like a No.1 class for the Buckeyes as well.

Alabama always wins, they may not of had the No.1 overall class this time but they just completed there best class in two years. Saban, Cristobal, Steele, Kiffin and Smart are the best recruiters in the nation and it shows. The scooped up the No.1 DB Kendall Sheffield (TX), No.2 QB Blake Barnett (CA), No.1 RB Damein Harris (KY) and the No. 1 and 3 safeties Fitzpatrick and Thompson.

San Jose St looks odd on this list right? Yeah, I know but the Spartans finished 48 which was the highest for any non power 5 conference school. Ron Caragher and his staff won some good 3 stars local kids over and hit huge on Taeon Mason who flipped from UCLA to Wazzu to San Jose St last minute,  WR’s Colin Baker of Vista Murrieta and Kanya Bell of Long Beach Poly.

The UCLA Bruins just made history in completling the best class in UCLA history, they finished No.5 overall led by No.1 overall prospect Josh Rosen (St. John Bosco). Rosen was almsot just as big of a recruiter as Mora Jr and the Mazzone brothers. UCLA hauled in Soso Jambo (RB), Chris Clark (TE), Coradell Broadus (WR) and Keisean Lucier-South (DE/OLB).

Honorable Mention Winners- Cal, Texas A&M, Penn St, Missouri and Duke.

Where there is winners there is always losers and the No.1 losers of NSD was Illinois. After coming off a 6-7 season and Beckman being on the hottest seat in the country the Illini didn’t help this week. They had two flips and didn’t do a great job keeping city (Chicago) kids in state.

Arizona St finished in the top 25 but could have had an all-time great Sun Devil signing day. Not only did they lose out on Green, Housto, Broadus and Gustin but they lost them in the conference and division. ASU still did solid work in the JUCO game and signing Newhall QB Brady White.

12 ACC schools finished inside the top 60 of the team rankings, only two teams finished outside of that and the big one were the Pitt Panthers. A lot of that had to do with the coaching change of Paul Chryst but nevertheless Pitt loss some battles in state especially with the resurgence of Penn St and Rutgers.

The last loser of the night was Washington St and Mike Leach. Yeah I know, Leach wins with less he’s done it everywhere he’s gone but losing 3 commits, including one to Boise and San Jose St in a 72 period is bad. This is the Pac-12 you can’t get away with have less talent, the coaching won’t make up for it and the seat in Pullman is already steaming hot.

Well here is a conference breakdown of the top classes and to every athlete, high school coach, camp instructor, scout, recruiting coordinator, parent & scouting director I’ve talked to this season thank you! You made this all possible, it was an amazing National Signing Day.
