LSU Hosts Wisconsin

(14) Wisconsin at (13) LSU

Wisconsin: This Wisconsin team could easily be in consideration for the College Football playoff. They have a good coach in Bret Bielema. The one guy on this Badgers team I’m looking forward to seeing most is running back Melvin Gordon who can easily get himself to New York as a Heisman candidate with Braxton Miller lost for the season after sustaining an injury. I really like his game. He’s a good speedy back that has good vision of the entire field and he makes good decisions. He will carry this offense for the early portion of the season. This is an early season task for the Badgers. Opening night, mutual site and they’re facing a Tigers team looking to bounce back in 2014.

LSU: They lost a lot of key pieces to the NFL. Odell Beckham and Zach Mettenberger are two of those guys so how will this LSU team be without those key players? One guy to look for this season is Leonard Fournette. He’s made comparisons to Adrian Peterson. He’s a guy that can catch the ball out the backfield and he’s a speedy runner with good instincts and can cut on a dime. One thing LSU has in their favor is their defense. They have a very speedy front seven. LSU wants to get back to the top and the road to the top starts tonight against Wisconsin.

Prediction: The running games for both teams will be in this one. The front seven of LSU will need to beat Melvin before he can get out into the open field. For Wisconsin, make Anthony Jennings beat you. I like LSU to take this one. LSU 28 Wisconsin 23
