Is this a title or bust season for the Clippers?

With the resigning of Deandre Jordan the Clippers are once again a favorite to come out of the western conference and win the NBA title. This isn’t the first time this has happened though. Over the past couple years the Clippers have had power house teams that just always seem to choke when it comes to playing in games in the playoffs. I’m not sure if it’s because Chris Paul might have a chip on his shoulder because his time is getting near the end or it’s because of some team controversy that’s been boiling on and off for years.

The 2015-2016 season could end up just like all the other years though. The western conference keeps getting better and the Clippers just stay the same and they never get depth for their bench. Look at what the Spurs did this offseason. They signed Lamarcus Aldridge who has started for the Trailblazers for years to come off the bench for Tim Duncan. They are once again a huge threat in the Clippers way. Another example could be the Clippers rival and defending NBA champs Golden State Warriors, who have kept every piece of their championship team.

In my honest opinion I think if the Clippers don’t win the whole thing this season with what they have they won’t win it anytime soon. With the salary cap rising and teams gunning to put together super teams it’ll be harder than ever to do. They are the team of LA right now but in my opinion that’s the only title they will be winning and they don’t raise banners for that.
