Minutes after sending a very premature NBA draft result tweet, Dikembe Mutombo sent out an apology tweet.
Sorry, guys.Got excited about the @sixers odds and got ahead of myself.Still keeping my fingers crossed for tonight. pic.twitter.com/u6bFaNTJml

Although a quick cover, it doesn’t make much sense. It’s understandable to be excited about the draft lottery, but congratulating a team based on odds? Something seems off here.
The media firestorm began when Mutombo tweeted that he was congratulating the Sixers on receiving the number one overall draft pick in this year’s NBA draft.
This tweet has since been deleted but has definitely fueled speculation that the NBA lottery may be fixed.
We posted an article earlier today about such an occasion: http://supertwosports.com/nba/is-the-nba-draft-lottery-fixed.html
Is the NBA rigged? Who knows but Dikembe Mutombo definitely made things more interesting.
