According to the Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com, the Philadelphia 76ers have informed Ben Simmons that he will be selected number one overall in the upcoming draft.

This has been the foreseen course of action for the Sixers, who have been back and forth between Simmons and Duke big man, Brandon Ingram. Industry sentiment has leaned heavily towards Simmons in the recent weeks.
With that drama gone, the new focus turns towards the Sixers’ plan to acquire another early first-round pick. Rumors have swirled that they Sixers will deal Jahlil Okafor to the Celtics for the number three pick and guard, Avery Bradley. There has also been talk that the Sixers may combine their 24th and 26th overall selection to move up within the top 10.
Whatever may happen, It looks as if the next few days will be quite busy on the rumor mill.
