By now almost everyone knows of the cell phone incident regarding D’Angelo Russell and Nick Young. If not, here’s a little rundown. Russell videotaped young, his teammate, discussing affairs with other women while engaged to rapper, Iggy Azalea. The incident caused a social media firestorm and lead to the eventual split of Young and Azalea.
Russell was the target of extreme scrutiny by analysts, teammates and the court of public opinion. However, it seems as if Russell has learned from his mistake…or at least he has in this new Foot Locker commercial. The commercial, starring Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns, Devin Booker and Ben Simmons, revolves around last year’s rookie class giving advice to the about to be drafted Ben Simmons. Towns and Booker have a relatively normal tips for the young Simmons.
However, Russell’s advice is a little more blunt and also pretty hysterical. Check out the video below.
