All Aboard The Wentz Wagon!

Philadelphia– With kickoff of the 2016 season in sight, this year’s Eagles team will be the start of new era in Eagle Football. The news came down on Saturday, as most of the nation was watching College Gameday, that the Philadelphia Eagles were trading Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings.

This trade is HUGE for the Birds, not only will Carson Wentz be the starter Week 1 but they also received a first round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and also a fourth round pick in 2018. The trade gets the Eagles back into the first round after trading their 2017 first rounder in a package of picks that gave them the number 2 overall pick in 2016. This pick would eventually turn into now heir apparent, Carson Wentz.  It also shows an end to Chip Kelly’s Reign of Terror, good luck San Fran… Bradford was the guy that Chip wanted to lead his pathetic system.

Sammy Sleeves was supposed to be a stop gap for this season while they got Wentz ready to take over for the 2017 season. The Eagles front office either received an offer they couldn’t refuse or Carson Wentz must have shown something in camp and practices that made the staff feel comfortable enough to give him the keys to the offense.

The news of the Bradford deal caused a buzz in the city, lighting up boards on the sports talk stations and even having special editions of the TV talk shows. The town is NOW finally pumped for Eagle Football.

The Eagles couldn’t have hand picked a more suitable opponent for Wentz’s debut, the pathetic Cleveland Browns. This match up will allow Wentz to get his feet wet before they play the Chicago Bears on Monday night the next week.

So it’s time for everyone in Philly to jump on the Wentz Wagon…it’s going to be fun ride!
