After the Patriots made every analyst Belichekourselves, we are more weary to be bold. Eh but not that weary. Here’s the picks for Sundays day games. Remember, the notables are players that are less expensive and have a chance of breaking out:
Ravens vs Jaguars-
Notables: Mike Wallace – $6500
Allen Hurns – $6500
Julius Thomas – $6100
Expect this to be a fairly high scoring game. Julius Thomas is Bortles favorite redzone target Mike Wallace has proven he is Flaccos go to guy. Also expect this to be Allen Robinsons breakout game.
Redskins vs Giants-
Notables- Sterling Shepard – $6500
Eli Manning – $7700
Desean Jackson – $6800
So I also want to throw in Giants defense. They have been absolutely killing opposing offenses and Captain Kirk is showing us why the Redskins didn’t want to pay him a max contract. Shepard has been the outstanding and may look to be the Giants 1a wideout.
Lions vs Packers-
Notables – Marvin Jones – $6900
Deandre Washington – $4900
Richie Rodgers – $4600
Remember the heart breaker last year? That’s not the only reason I have Richie Rodgers on here. He’s been on the field as many snaps as Jared Cook and has been getting targets. Deandre is to be the workhorse back since Abdullah hurt his foot and I expect a ton of volume since Riddick isn’t built to be an every down guy.
Browns vs Dolphins-
Notables – Ryan Tannehill – $7400
Miami Defense – $4600
Gary Barnidge – $5800
Joe Haden might be out with a groin injury and he’s the focal point of the Browns defense. I can’t see the Browns even being in this one with rookie Corey Coleman being out and rookie Cody Kessler being the starting Quarterback in his first game(3 games 3 QBs). A TE is a rookie QBs best friend though so I can see Barnidge having an ok day.
Vikings vs Panthers-
Notables- Sam Bradford – $6600
Matt Asiata – $4600
Cameron Artis Payne – $4800
The reason Stefon Diggs isn’t on here is because he is nursing a groin injury. It shouldn’t hinder him too much but I figure to be cautious. Asiata is here instead of McKinnon because think about it.. he is the goal line back and short yardage, he is used in the passing game and third downs, and why would anything make sense after the Patriots win on Thursday?! Cameron Artis Payne is the feature back, not Fozzie Whitaker, and will get the most volume in the backfield.
Broncos vs Bengals-
Notables: Tyler Boyd $5700
Denver Defense $4800
I only have 2 up here because other than the main plays I could not think of another notable worth playing. I like Boyd because steadily his production is coming about but Dalton has not been playing like himself. Denver D has a great chance of shutting down the whole offense this game.
Cardinals vs Bills-
Notables – Cardinals Defense – $5100
Michael Floyd – $6900
Much like my last pick, I don’t like anyone else that you wouldn’t obviously start. The Bills have a great chance of being shut out this week without Watkins at least being a distraction and I believe people will finally see Tyrod as the mediocre QB he really is.
Raiders vs Titans
Notables – Michael Crabtree – $6400
Delanie Walker – $6900
Jalen Richard – $4900
Only keep your eye on Richard still. I like him a lot but not time to start him yet. Crabtree is easily the 1a of the Raiders and I think could have a better year than Cooper. Prediction this week? Walker is the number 1 tight end for week 3.
Rams vs Buccaneers-
Notables – Charles Sims – $6300
Rams Defense – $4500
Only 2 on this game as well. I barely trust anyone but Gurley(who I think will have his breakout game Sunday) and Jameis will put up 252 with 1 touchdown and a handful of sacks. I do like Sims this week with Doug Martin out though. Expect volume.
49ers vs Seahawks-
Notables – Vance McDonald – $4900
Christine Michael – $6900
Jimmy Graham – $5200
Jimmy has been quiet since 2014 but I think he finds the end zone this weekend thanks to a solid run game by Christine Michael who has been averaging over 4 ypc. Vance has had a touchdown in each game this year but only one catch last week(even though it was for a very long touchdown). I like him as a redzone threat only.
Steelers vs Eagles-
Notables – Carson Wentz – $7200
Ryan Mathews – $6600
DeAngelo Williams – $8800
I’m only putting D-Wills on here because expect a huge game from him. His last starting game till Bell gets injured he will look to go off. Wentz has looked like a field general out there and it continues to help out Mathews in the running game. Expect a shootout.
Jets vs Chiefs-
Notables – Quincy Enunwa – $6000
Alex Smith – $6800
Ryan Fitzpatrick – $7400
While Fitz is still cheap he’s almost a must start. With Marshall nursing his knee and foot and Decker nursing a shoulder injury, as long as Enunwa has his ribs healed he should get more than enough targets. Alex Smith is currently my most underrated QB especially because he also gets it done with his legs. Expect a bounce back.
Chargers vs Colts-
Notables – Travis Benjamin – $6900
Philip Dorsett – $6000
Dexter Mccluster – $4500
Didn’t expect good ole Dexter there did ya? Purely watch what he can do, don’t start. He has a chance to take over Woodheads role but he’s not nearly as talented. Dorsett will look to prove his worth this weekend and I love it. TY Hilton is, in my opinion, the most overrated wideout in the game currently so I believe Dorsett and Allen will show up this weekend.
