It was announced Monday that former Flyer, Eric Lindros, was elected into the NHL Hall of Fame. NBC Philadelphia posted this article to congratulate the Philadelphia great.

A nice enough gesture by any means, however, the picture they used for the article is garnering some backlash.
The photo is one of Eric Lindros being assisted off the ice after suffering a significant concussion during his tenure in Philadelphia. This, just one of many concussions that shortened the Hall of Famer’s career, so the picture comes across as being in poor taste.
However, the photo mishap will be soon forgotten and should do little to take away from the illustrious career of Eric Lindros. Lindros’ selection is well deserved and we congratulate him on an amazing career.
