Even though many minor league teams do it regularly, when MLB teams pull off Star Wars-themed activities, fans really seem to get into the spirit. And the photos are always fun to view.
The Cardinals were the most recent team to host such an event, and they did so during their latest matchup with the Pirates, which the team won, 5-2. The game was nationally televised on ESPN, and the Wednesday Night Baseball crew decided to participate as well.

This just proves Darth Vader is a man of the people. He does not reside in the club seats, but instead hangs out with the masses.
And it’s all about the kids. That’s what makes these “fan nights” great. And one particular group of young Cardinals fans seemed to really enjoy themselves, as they flashed their lightsabers for all to see.
