New York Yankees pitcher Bryan Mitchell was involved in a scary moment during Monday night’s game against the Minnesota Twins.
When Mitchell served up a 93 mph fastball, Eduardo Nuñez connected with the pitch and sent it back toward the Yankees pitcher’s direction.
Unfortunately, it hit Mitchell in the face.
Luckily, Mitchell was able to walk off on his own power and seems to be okay.
Bryan Mitchell suffered a small nasal fracture. He has been released from the hospital. NYY docs will monitor any concussion symptoms.
