New York Mets right-hander Noah Syndergaard bears an uncanny resemblance to Marvel superhero Thor. Those flowing locks, that build, all he’s missing is the hammer and the ability to control thunder, of course.
But when the 23-year-old dressed up like Thor and spent some of Wednesday walking around New York City as part of a feature for the Mets network SNY, he looked like the real deal.

Syndergaard, or Thor rather, was even nice enough to take a picture with a few other characters.

He even stopped to say hello to a four-legged friend.

But all joking aside, Syndergaard is an imposing figure on the mound at 6’6″ and 242 pounds. So far this season, Thor has a 1.69 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 62 2/3 innings. That’s the most strikeouts of any Mets pitcher this season.
Asgard would be proud.
