Carson Palmer will finish his career with the Arizona Cardinals. The quarterback, who is signed through 2018, told reporters Tuesday that the Cardinals will be his last NFL team.

Palmer, 36, had an MVP-caliber season in 2015 coming off an ACL tear the previous year. He threw for 4,671 yards and 35 touchdowns, as the Cardinals had the league’s second-ranked passing offense.
The No. 1 overall pick in 2013, Palmer made a couple of Pro Bowls during his eight years with the Cincinnati Bengals, but later struggled when he went to the Oakland Raiders. With the Cardinals, though, Palmer has revived his career, and the level of talent around him is the best he’s been around. Arizona finished 13-3 and made it to the NFC championship game a year ago.
As long as Palmer stays healthy, the Cardinals are fit to be in Super Bowl contention over the next few years.
