Odell Beckham Jr. says he made Josh Norman ‘relevant’

Odell Beckham Jr. doesn’t like Josh Norman, not after the two fought multiple times during a Giants/Panthers game in Week 15 of the 2015-16 season. That’s not news but worth pointing out when revealing what OBJ said about Norman in a recent interview.

Beckham says he “for sure” thinks Norman signed with the Washington Redskins in April to guarantee at least two matchups against the Giants playmaker every season. Beckham called it a “smart business move” that would help keep Norman “relevant.”

“If I wasn’t playing him twice a year, maybe people wouldn’t bring it up as much,” Beckham told GQ, via the New York Post and Complex. “But now it’ll be a lot more attention for him, attention that I don’t really look for, attention I don’t really need. The reason that he’s become so relevant is because of me.”

Beckham alluded to this in a tweet last March but now he’s actually saying it out loud.

Should be fun when the Giants and Redskins play Sept. 25 and Jan. 1 of the upcoming season.
