Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is set to turn 40 next month, and Super Bowl 50 could be his “last rodeo.” He even said so himself in a conversation with Bill Belichick on the field after the AFC Championship game concluded.
Manning is the second-oldest quarterback in the league today (Matt Hasselbeck is 40), with Tom Brady just behind him. Brady will be 39 years of age by the time the 2016 NFL regular season kicks off, but given his diet and workout regimen, he may still have a few more years of play left in him. His contract runs through the 2017 season, and the Patriots signal-caller said he still has “10 years left” back in October.
With Manning set to play in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, the big question is if that will be his final game in the league. He was asked about it by the media on Monday, and he gave a great response involving Brady and Belichick.

We’re not sure if Belichick has 27 years of coaching left in him, but that does seem more likely than Manning hitting the fountain of youth and playing for another decade.
It’s interesting that Manning referenced Brady and Belichick in his response, though. Normally, a player would provide an answer involving their next opponent, but this is the exception, and it seems like no matter what, Manning and Brady will be forever linked.
