John Calipari’s John Hancock on the Final Floor – It Can Be Yours

Credit John Calipari for squeezing maximum value out Kentucky's first National Title since 1998. This is a guy who owns social media (more followers on Twitter than every other head coach combined), who is the defending National Champ, and who – apparently – has a PR team that is on top of their game.

First, for recruiting purposes, 3,000 square feet of last year's floor from the Title game is being installed in the new locker rooms at Rupp Arena. This will be a great addition for any recruiting trip when the staff walks whichever 5* is in town and stops to show them where on the floor Anthony Davis was when he turned into Rubberman.

But that's not all they're doing with the floor. Because Kentucky has this public relations stuff dialed in. Now Calipari is autographing sections of the floor which will be sold at auction beginning on Thursday. The bidding starts at $500. So what happens with the proceeds?

Selling the floor to fight childhood cancers? Brilliant. And worthy.
