Adam Jones throws shade at Tim Tebow for pursuing pro baseball career

When it was reported that former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow would be pursuing a career in professional baseball, there was bound to be doubters.

Baltimore Orioles center-fielder Adam Jones, a five-time MLB All-Star, is one of them. He sent out this tweet on Tuesday, which seems to mock Tebow for thinking he can just jump right into a pro baseball career.

Tebow has not played organized baseball since 2005 when he was an All-State player at Nease High School in Florida. But according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the former first-round pick of the Denver Broncos has been training in Arizona and Los Angeles to hone his hitting and fielding skills.

Tebow will hold a workout for all 30 MLB teams at the end of the month, hoping to get at least one ballclub to give him a shot.
