Police in riot gear beat up Bayern Munich fans with batons (video)

Bayern Munich squared off against Olympiacos F.C. in Wednesday’s Champions League match, and they won easily, 3-0. But what happened before the match was truly disheartening.

Bayern Munich and Olympiacos fans were engaging in some pregame taunting and trolling, which happens all the time before matches. But things got a bit heated, and Greek police showed up with the riot squad to try to keep the peace.

But they did anything but that, and that’s when things got truly ugly.

Check out the video clips which show the police clubbing Bayern Munich fans, which seems completely unnecessary.

It’s unclear as to why the German fans were targeted, and the Greek fans, for the most part, were left alone.
