Brandon Marshall carries Colts defenders into end zone for TD (video)

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall is one of the most physical receivers in the NFL. When he’s focused and determined to score, he can be very tough to stop.

Two Indianapolis Colts defenders learned that lesson on Monday Night Football, when Marshall literally carried them into the end zone with him.

The Colts had scored their first touchdown of the game on the previous drivecutting the Jets’ lead to 10-7and Gang Green was in desperate need of a score to regain their double-digit lead midway through the fourth quarter.

Faced with a 2nd-and-7 situation from the Colts’ 15-yard line, Marshall gave the Jets exactly what they were looking for. Ryan Fitzpatrick found Marshall on a nice back-shoulder throw at the 4-yard line, and the dominant receiver did the rest.

Colts defensive back Jalil Brown wrapped his arms around Marshall and attempted to bring him down, but failed, as the Jets receiver kept his legs churning. Mike Adams came over to get in Marshall’s way and keep him out of the end zone, but he, too, failed. Marshall pushed his way into the end zone and took both defenders with him.

The Jets traded for Marshall back in March, and it looks like that move is already paying dividends.
