Bryce Harper gets ejected after arguing with umpire—again

Bryce Harper got ejected from Wednesday night’s game against the Yankees for arguing with umpire Marvin Hudson over a strike call. Matt Williams was also ejected from the interleague matchup, and it marked the second time in just eight days that the two have been removed from a game by an umpire.

Harper was upset about a called strike in the third inning of the game, which happened to be the first pitch of the at-bat. The pitch from Adam Warren seemed a bit low, so Harper let Hudson know about it by stepping out of the box and having some words with the umpire.

Hudson then told Harper to get back in the box, which caused the Nationals star to troll him by sticking his toe in the box. Hudson clearly wasn’t amused by Harper’s gesture, so he promptly ejected him from the game.

Williams came out to argue Hudson’s decision, and he decided to protest Harper’s ejection by kicking some dirt near home plate.

The Nationals won the game, 3-2, even with Hudson attempting to steal the spotlight with a pair of ejections that didn’t seem necessary.
