Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton continues to take unnecessary shots to the head this season.
Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Newton scrambled on a two-point conversion with his team down big and took a wicked shot.
At first glance, Newton slowed down for some reason:

Several agreed Newton shouldn’t have applied the brakes:

If Cam Newton wouldn’t have been hot-dogging on that 2-point conversion, he wouldn’t be in the locker room being evaluated for a concussion.

Newton might have slowed, but a shot to the head is still illegal. Rest assured the league will review this one and dish out whatever it deems necessary.
In the meantime, the Panthers can’t really afford to be without Newton right now given the miserable 1-3 hole they have dug for themselves after Sunday’s 48-33 loss. Stay turned for injury updates.
