CC Sabathia gets into it with umpire after being ejected from game (VIDEO)

Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia had never been ejected from a game heading into Sunday’s matchup with the Angels, but even the longest streaks are made to be broken.

Sabathia turned in a strong performance in the game, lasting six innings and giving up only five hits and two earned runs. He picked up his third win of the season, as the Yankees won the game, 6-2.

However, Sabathia did not leave the game on his own terms. He was ejected by home plate umpire Dan Bellino.

It’s unclear as to why Sabathia was upset, but he went off on Bellino in the sixth inning after the Yankees turned an inning-ending double play. Sabathia turned to Bellino and shouted at him. He was then ejected, which caused the Yankees pitcher to get in Bellino’s face and go off on him.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi was none too pleased about it, so he came out to argue with Bellino. He, too, was ejected.

Sabathia did manage to record his 2500th career strikeout in the game before being ejected.
