Dak Prescott passed on Kanye West concert, he was sleepy

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott does not mess around when it comes to his bedtime.

Prescott badly wanted to attend a Kanye West concert on Sept. 22 at the American Airlines Center, after receiving free tickets to go. However, in an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel, he admitted that getting a good night’s sleep is important to him, and he passed on the show in favor of Thursday Night Football.

“I wanted to go a little bit,” Prescott told Pete Thamel regarding West’s Saint Pablo Tour show. “But I just think about the perception of it all. And I love my sleep.”

This is the type of story that the Cowboys probably love to see. The Browns were stuck with Johnny Manziel, who went to Vegas the day before a game against the Steelers. But the Cowboys got the quarterback who makes sure he stays in a routine, and doesn’t risk his health or put his job status in jeopardy for a material thing such as a concert.

Prescott stays committed to his craft, and for quarterbacks, that’s a very admirable trait.
