Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was held to just one catch in Super Bowl 50, and Josh Norman, who had him in coverage, is still boasting about it.
Thomas was targeted six times, but only had one reception, and Norman hasn’t forgotten about it. He recently declared himself “the best cornerback on Earth,” and also made sure to let the world know what happened back in February when the two stars were lined up opposite one another.
“I don’t know what he was out there for,” Norman said. “He was supposed to be an all-world guy, and I shut him down.”
It’s nice to brag about your personal achievements, but the Broncos emerged victorious in that game and were crowned world champions. Thomas made sure to remind Norman of that on Tuesday, delivering the perfect response to the mouthy cornerback.
