Dodgers ‘disappointed’ in Yasiel Puig’s Snapchats

Don’t feel bad for Yasiel Puig. Days after the Los Angeles Dodgers demoted the 25-year-old outfielder to the minors, Puig posted videos to his Snapchat account of him partying with his new Triple-A teammates.

The videos are definitely NSFW, as Puig and his teammates can be heard dropping F-bombs left and right, and this is after a loss mind you. But the players don’t appear to be doing anything illegal, and it’s not against the rules to go out and have a good time.

Dodgers president Andrew Friedman didn’t find Puig’s videos amusing, however. He released a statement on Tuesday.

Puig is in hot water as it is with the Dodgers. They grew tired of his antics in the majors, and the team replaced his inefficiency at the plate with Josh Reddick, who was acquired in a trade from Oakland at the Aug. 1 deadline.

Puig’s lack of judgement in posting the videos for all to see doesn’t help his case. If the Dodgers weren’t already thinking of getting rid of him, they probably are now.
