Donald Trump may be a native New Yorker, but he sure didn’t receive a warm welcome when he arrived at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center for the U.S Open quarterfinals on Tuesday. In fact, quite the opposite happened. Trump arrived with his wife, Melania, to watch Serena Williams take on her sister, Venus. Instead of being embraced by fans, the GOP presidential front-runner was booed.
New York is one of the most liberal states in the country, so it’s not a huge surprise that Trump attracted the boo birds.
