One thing sports fans need to understand when attending games is that they’re there to witness the action, not participate in it.
A fan at Monday night’s Rockies-Dodgers game apparently didn’t get that memo.
When Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez attempted to track down a pop fly in foul territory during the fifth inning of the game, a fan in a Red Sox hat tried to make his job more difficult.
Gonzalez reached over the wall to make the catch, but as soon as the ball landed in his glove, the fan attempted to take it away from him.

The icing on the cake is that the fan flashed his Red Sox hat to the crowd afterward, as if he was going to draw support from Dodgers fans. He’s not very smart.
The good news is that the fan was ejected after the incident happened. And Gonzalez still managed to make the catch.
