In the NFL Network’s poll of current NFL players, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was voted as the top player in the league. However, when it comes to the title of “best football player on the planet”, the NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year has someone else in mind.

Watt tweeted out the above photo yesterday after meeting up with Argentina soccer star Lionel Messi. Messi was visiting Houston for some international friendlies, and it looks like he also made a friend in Watt, who gave him a jersey. Argentina defeated Bolivia on Friday, 7-0, with two goals from Messi. J.J. Watt hopes to have similar success next Sunday when the Houston Texans open their season against the Kansas City Chiefs.
