Jerry Jones goes to New Orleans, fuels coaching rumors

Jerry Jones sent everyone into a tizzy with his appearance in New Orleans Tuesday night.

But the Cowboys owner denies he was in The Big Easy to woo Saints coach Sean Payton, according to The New Orleans Advocate.

Perhaps we’ll know more when Payton addresses the media today at 1 p.m., but there probably isn’t that much more to know.

With his future in New Orleans uncertain, Payton could be the most coveted coaching candidate out there.

But Dallas?

Even though the Cowboys finished 4-12, it’s hard to blame Jason Garrett when Tony Romo played in only four games and Dez Bryant was completely healthy in only one of the nine games he played.

It’s plausible that Jones was just in New Orleans to have a good time. After all, Jones and New Orleans revelry are a match made in heaven.
