Marshawn Lynch applies to trademark ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined’

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch knows to strike while the iron is hot.

With many NFL fans and analysts alike still uttering his catch phrases, Lynch is attempting to get one of them trademarked.

Arguably his most famous line was delivered at Super Bowl XLIX Media Day. Lynch fielded a barrage of questions from reporters, and he responded with the same answer each time:

“I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”

Lynch recently applied for a trademark so he can control apparel sold with the words “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.” The official document filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office lists shirts, hats, beanies, jackets and hooded sweatshirts.

It’s not the first time Lynch has done this. He also recently applied to trademark “About That Action Boss,” and is currently selling apparel with that phrase on his website.
