Marvin Jones makes ridiculous TD catch vs. Packers

Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers made the biggest splash of the first half when the Packers encountered the Detroit Lions.

Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones wasn’t far behind, though, taking attention away from Rodgers’ four touchdown passes in the first half with a sick catch and broken tackle for a 73-yard score.

The NFL captured the wild play:

The play didn’t bring the Lions much closer and that’s probably why Jones didn’t do much celebrating.

He could have. Jones needed silly body control while concentrating to spin around and grab that one. Don’t forget the strength to break free of the defender, then the elite afterburners to take it all the way.

Brought on to make plays just like this over the offseason, Jones is making a name for himself while helping Detroit move on from the loss of Calvin Johnson.
