Matt Flynn Gets Cut By Jets, Finds the Nearest Bar

The summer of 2015 has not been overly kind to journeyman quarterback, Matt Flynn. Flynn began the preseason with the New England Patriots as an insurance-policy third quarterback behind Tom Brady, who was facing a possible four-game suspension to start the season.  Flynn was unable to stay healthy and was ultimately cut by New England.  He found a second home with the New York Jets, who were looking for quarterback depth in the wake of Geno Smith’s jaw injury.  Unfortunately for Flynn, his time in New York was short-lived as the Jets released him during their final roster cuts on Saturday.  Flynn took to Twitter to update fans on his status following his release.

Apparently the airport bar was next, as Flynn tweeted out the following picture three minutes later:

Apparently, there’s nothing like some alcohol and bacon to ease the pain of NFL cutdowns.
