When Minnesota Twins slugger Miguel Sano makes solid contact with a pitch, he tends to crush the ball.
Fans at Tropicana Field on Sunday witnessed that when he became the first player to hit a ball off the roof there, which he did in the first inning of the game.
With runners on the corners, Sano got under a pitch and skied it over 200 feet into the air. The ball hit off the roof, and Evan Longoria managed to get underneath it and made a nice catch anyway.

Sano clearly wasn’t interested in a sacrifice fly there. He was looking to hit a three-run bomb.
