Paxton Lynch throws first career TD pass (VIDEO)

Rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch made his debut for the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He relieved Trevor Siemian, who was carted off the field with a left non-throwing shoulder injury late in the second quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In the fourth quarter, Lynch connected with wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders off the bootleg for a five-yard score and the first touchdown pass of his career.

Lynch, the 26th pick in the first round of the 2016 draft, is one of six rookie quarterbacks to see playing time before No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff.

The Broncos are leading the Buccaneers 27-7 with 6:52 to go. The game is delayed due to weather.
