The Late Show with David Letterman has been entertaining viewers for over three decades, but all good things must come to an end.
Letterman’s final show aired on Wednesday night, and it was filled with celebrity cameos and plenty of funny moments. It’s hard to forget about Letterman’s final Top 10 list which was titled “Things I’ve Always Wanted to Say to Dave.”
Peyton Manning joined nine other celebrities—Jim Carrey, Chris Rock, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, Bill Murray, Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Barbara Walters and Jerry Seinfeld—and roasted Letterman. The Broncos quarterback delivered a funny one-liner and zinged the talk show host with a clever jab.
“Dave, you are to comedy what I am to comedy,” Manning said.

Manning first appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman roughly 18 years ago, and it was great to see him put his sharp sense of humor on display once again.
There’s no better way to send one of the best talk show hosts of all time into retirement than by having him roasted by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, in addition to other famous guests that have appeared on the show over the years.
