Protesters gather outside the Moda Center (GALLERY)

Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the South Exit of the Moda Center during Thursday night’s Pacers-Trail Blazers game.

The large group was protesting against a New York grand jury’s decision not to indict a white police officer in the chokehold death of an unarmed black man, Eric Garner, according to USA Today.

The group marched through downtown Portland and then made its way to the Moda Center.

And it all began at Pioneer Square.

Protesters then made their way to a MAX station near the Moda Center.

They then arrived at the Moda Center.

…And were greeted by a strong police presence.

But that didn’t stop them from gathering.

And they’re still going strong. Plenty of “Hands up, don’t shoot” chants can still be heard.
