If you were wondering when the Texas Rangers would enact revenge on the Toronto Blue Jays for the Jose Bautista bat flip, Sunday afternoon was it.
And, boy, was it a doozy.
Texas reliever Matt Bush hit Bautista with a pitch that sent the Toronto slugger to first. Then, a ground ball went in the direction of Ranger third baseman Adrian Beltre, who threw tossed it to Rougned Odor for a force out. Bautista slid hard into second base, much to Odor’s dismay.
After some shoving, Odor clocked Bautista in the chin cleanly to incite a wild brawl in Arlington.

If that wasn’t bad enough, the Blue Jays had some retaliatory measures of their own, as Jesse Chavez plunked Prince Fielder to clear the benches yet again.
Suffice it to say, there were plenty of ejections.
For those keeping track at home, Bautista, Donaldson, Chavez, DeMarlo Hale, Odor and the Rangers bench coach were ejected in the eighth.

It’s also a safe assumption that we’ll be seeing a lengthy suspension for Odor, too.
