Baltimore Ravens players showed their support for Joe Flacco by wearing shirts that show the quarterback’s face with the word “ELITE” below it. Long-snapper Morgan Cox purchased the shirts, and tight end Dennis Pitta was the first to show his off to Flacco.

“You can question a Super Bowl MVP?,” Suggs said, according to ESPN.com’s Jamison Hensley. “Hell no.”
“We’re kind of rallying behind our guy. But like I said, he’d better play elite, god damn it.”
Besides winning a Super Bowl, Flacco’s career achievements include one Pro Bowl invite, which he turned down, and playoff appearances in six of the past eight seasons. The ongoing debate has been if Flacco should be considered elite, which many people seem to be on the fence about. Flacco’s individual numbers don’t stand out among the NFL’s elite quarterbacks, but his winning percentage (.618) is higher than the likes of Tony Romo (.614), Matt Ryan (.583), Drew Brees (.571), Philip Rivers (.571) and Eli Manning (.533).
One thing’s for sure, the Ravens think he’s elite and need him to play like it in order to get back to the postseason.
