Report: Russell Wilson could miss Week 2 vs. Rams

Russell Wilson could miss a game for the first time in his career next Sunday when the Seahawks visit the Rams.

Dolphins defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh stepped on Wilson’s ankle after a sack during the Seahawks’ 12-10 win Sunday at Seattle, and it could sideline Wilson for Week 2.

Suh has a reputation for cheap shots, but it doesn’t appear in this case that Suh intentionally stepped on Wilson’s ankle.

This third-quarter sack was one of three by the Dolphins. Wilson stayed in the game and led the Seahawks on a game-winning, 75-yard drive that ended with a 2-yard touchdown pass to Doug Baldwin with 35 seconds left.

Wilson’s status isn’t the Seahawks’ only concern. Their offensive line needs some work. Not only was Wilson sacked three times, but Seattle averaged just 3.5 yards per carry.

On Sunday, that line might be protecting a quarterback not named Russell Wilson for the first time since 2011.
