Ronnie Hillman compares Vikings to last year’s Broncos

The Minnesota Vikings have shocked the NFL so far this year despite losing a starting quarterback and going on to look like favorites in the NFC North once again.

For some, it seems similar to what happened with the Denver Broncos last year.

Ronnie Hillman spent last year with the Broncos and helped the team win a Super Bowl. Now with the Vikings, he isn’t afraid to make the comparison:

“The big thing is the camaraderie,” Hillman said, per the Pioneer Press. “This team plays for each other, and that’s the biggest part. This team has the same brotherhood — these guys treat each other like family the exact same [as in Denver], and that’s what you need to have a championship team. I saw it here right away, how these guys treat each other with respect and without excuses — they’re accountable for what they do, and that’s definitely a good trait to have as a whole. The guys are cool.”

It’s an interesting comparison. Denver rode an elite defense to a title last year while needing to shuffle names at quarterback, including Peyton Manning.

Sam Bradford isn’t Manning by any stretch, but he’s playing effectively enough after joining the team late via trade to make the Vikings stick around as Super Bowl contenders.

On one hand, it is only Week 5. On the other, the Vikings are undefeated and have taken down three NFC hopefuls in Green Bay, Carolina and New York.

Does anyone want to step on the field and try to prove Hillman wrong?
