The Phoenix Suns Won Media Day

NBA Media Day is a highlight of the basketball calendar for many reasons. Beyond marking the return of basketball to our lives, the event is usually the first chance for fans to see free agent signings or trade acquisitions in their new uniforms. There’s a buzz of optimism in the air that can even make Sacramento Kings fans excited about their team’s prospects.

While there are certainly plenty of mundane quotes from coaches and players to wade through, things also tend to get a bit zany when the players shoot spots for the multitude of in-stadium promotions that will run throughout the season. As the hype surrounding NBA Media Day has grown, there’s been a penchant for teams to try to one-up each other with the type of stunts they pull.  With the dust settling on 2015’s Media Day, it’s become apparent that one team won the day: the Phoenix Suns.

Here’s a sampling of the best that the Suns had to offer.

P.J. Tucker and RJ Warren sporting some flashy shades…

Alex Len is ready to go toe to toe with Brock Lesnar.

Dwight Howard may have something to say about Jon Leuer’s choice of costume.

What really set the Suns over the top, was their promo shots for their upcoming Star Wars Night.  The force is strong with Phoenix!
