Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Serena Williams and Conan O’Brien invest in UFC

The UFC has an incredible star-studded list of new owners.

UFC sold over the summer and now the news of those who have thrown cash down on the company continues to trickle out. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams, host Conan O’Brien and many others headline the list of names.

UFC released a statement on the list:

“Our new investors bring an incredible depth of knowledge and experience to help us continue to elevate this brand and capitalize on its entertainment and sports crossover appeal,” UFC President Dana White said in a statement.

Sylvester Stallone, Ben Affleck and Mark Wahlberg are a few other names involved. It was O’Brien, though, talking about the situation Thursday night, per Fox Sports’ Damon Martin:

After the UFC deal was announced, WME — William Morris Endeavor — gave some of their clients an opportunity to purchase a small ownership stake in the UFC. I’m excited to announce that I was one of those clients.

I said yes and so now I technically own a piece of the UFC.

This is a big deal for the company considering it already has a digital platform in place. More cash from notable investors can mean more products online, which means a growth spurt for the sport.

In other words, it’s one heck of a time to be a UFC fan.
