I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver.

And with that one tweet, Terrell Owens has confirmed that he's been cut by the Seahawks. The 38-year old had two catches for 41 yards during Friday's preseason game against the Chiefs, but his recovery from a torn ACL just didn't appear to be going as well as expected. Owens was apparently competing for a job on the Seahawks roster with former Browns star Braylon Edwards, and the departure of Owens seems to indicate that Edwards will be a Seahawk this season.
In all honestly, the Owens/Edwards debate was a sideshow for Seattle. Neither was going to be the top wideout for the Seahawks, who return Sidney Rice, Doug Baldwin, and Golden Tate. With the versatile Ben Obomanu in the fold, if Owens did make the Seahawks, I doubt he would be getting a lot of time on the field anyway. The same goes for Edwards now that his slot has seemingly been guaranteed. At any rate, it looks like this will be the end for Owens, as his past few seasons have been marred with off the field distractions and a lack of production.
